SPN 3510/FMI 3
This diagnosis typically means the 5 V sensor supply bank 2 circuit failed high.
This fault indicates that the MCM detects a short to power (voltage > 5.3) on any of the MCM pins listed in Table “MCM Pins for Short to Power Check” .
Component | MCM Pin |
TSS, Fuel Line Pressure Sensor, Fuel Compensation Pressure Sensor, Engine Oil Pressure Sensor | 82 |
Turbo Inlet Pressure/Temp Sensor, DPF Inlet and Outlet Pressure Sensors | 85 |
Fuel Line Pressure Sensor, Fuel Compensation Pressure Sensor | 104 |
Engine Oil Pressure Sensor, Turbo Inlet Pressure/Temperature Sensor | 105 |
Inspect the harness and repair as necessary. Refer to “111.1.1 Verify Repairs” .
Verify Repairs
Verify repairs as follows:
- Turn ignition OFF.
- Reconnect any electrical connections that were disconnected to perform the diagnosis.
- Clear codes with DDDL 7.0 or latest version.
- Start and bring engine up to operating temperature (over 140°F/60°C).
- Verify operation is satisfactory and no warning lamps illuminate. If warning lamps illuminate, troubleshoot the codes.
