SPN 3512/FMI 3
This diagnosis typically means the 3 V sensor supply bank 1 circuit failed high.
This fault indicates that the MCM detects a short to power (voltage > 3.2) on any of the MCM pins listed in Table “MCM Pins for Short to Power Check” .
|Fuel Temperature Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor||55|
|Fuel Temperature Sensor||77|
|Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pressure Sensor||102|
|Engine Oil Temperature/Pressure Sensor||108|
|Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor||110|
Inspect the harness and repair as necessary. Refer to “114.1.1 Verify Repairs” .
Verify repairs as follows:
- Turn ignition OFF.
- Reconnect any electrical connections that were disconnected to perform the diagnosis.
- Clear codes with DDDL 7.0 or latest version.
- Start and bring engine up to operating temperature (over 140°F/60°C).
- Verify operation is satisfactory and no warning lamps illuminate. If warning lamps illuminate, troubleshoot the codes.
