DD15 EGR Circuit Issues

Check as follows:‪

1. Check the EGR valve and actuator first by sweeping for smoothness. Is binding is present?
   1. If yes, remove actuator arm and sweep both. If one or the other binds, change the part.
   2. If no, go to the next step.
2. Check the EGR valve for excessive soot buildup.
   1. If buildup exists, clean or replace the part.
   2. If no buildup exists, go to the next step.
3. Check the delivery pipe.
   1. If soot is found, clean the pipe.
   2. If no soot is found, go to the next step.
4. Check the Delta P for leaks and blockage.
   1. If leaks and blockage exist, clean or change the part.
   2. If there are no leaks and blockage, refer to “6.7 Cracked or Leaking Intake Manifold” .
